It’s the Little Things
Please let me introduce you to Doe Leather, simply one of the loveliest independent luxury leather goods retailer I know. The simplicity behind the product intrigued me, I love browsing on line stores for that something different. I don’t like over fussy over filled sites but Doe Leather certainly is none of these things. Beautifully styled items just enough for you to want every single one, with an ethos and integrity behind the business that also strikes true with all my beliefs. I also think when the owner of such a venture is as passionate about her wares as Deborah is, it makes the buyer want to own a stunning one off piece: one that will last a life time rather than throw away fashion. It is most definitely lifestyle motivated: paring back and investing in well made British products with an air of elegance that will never tire or date due to their contemporary look.
The leather business runs through Deborah’s veins. A family way of life that spans generations. She chose the name Doe because on the old tannery Coat of Arms and the Guild of Leather sellers, male animals feature, especially the Buck. Going back through the generations no women have ever been at board or director level, despite the tannery being founded by her grandmother’s side of the family. So Doe seemed a good , strong, simple and female name for her business which is a continuation of her forebears’ story. Plus she likes the letter D for obvious reasons!
I’m definitely a purse girl. Sometimes I don’t take my bag out, just my purse and phone when nipping out to run errands. So my purse is a constant companion and I feel rather lost without it. This Doe Leather two zip purse is simple and perfect made from subtle bridle hide: soft, sleek and stylish and enough room for all your cards and notes. I don’t think I could be without it now.
The rest of the Doe Leather collection works together so well from the ipad clutch, make up/pencil case to a cohesive collection of bags from totes to backpacks: all meticulously made by skilled craftsmen with special touches such as archive print zip pulls.
