Natural Elements with Earthborn Paint

I am so pleased with my spare bedroom refresh, I just go in there and sit for a while taking it all in.  The warmth of the space is exactly how I wanted this hard working room to feel.  Not only is this our spare bedroom for when we have guests stay over, it is also our dressing room, laundry room and work room.  It works hard but it also needs to be restful and calm and I avoid it becoming a dumping ground as often spare rooms do, that would drive me nuts, everything has to have its place.

It was getting a little tired around the edges and I wanted to bring it back to life, so the decorating project got underway.  I mentioned last week that it started with re painting the large chest of drawers which then highlighted everything else that had to change.  The floors got a new lick of paint too, along with updating the curtains to beautiful light flowing biscuit colour linen that pool perfectly on the floor.  I wanted everything to flow and I think I got it just right.  I knew instantly when Earthborn got in touch that their claypaint would work brilliantly on the walls and ceiling bringing the overall look seamlessly together.  It took no time at all to choose Tom’s Bakery as I knew that its softness would lighten and brighten the room but also add warmth with its wholesome warm bread dough palette.  I love a neutral that changes with the light too, Tom’s Bakery is simply perfect especially in the early evening when the light pours in.  I was very impressed when applying the claypaint with its creamy consistency this breathable paint has an ultra matt finish which I love, it softens and enhances the light in the room, plus it doesn’t have a strong odour so no headaches after you’ve finished.  I couldn’t be happier with the finished results.

Earthborn are exactly the kind of company I adore working with, their credentials are exemplary, with over 20 years experience this family owned firm has committed to providing a range of paints that are less harmful to the environment and are extremely proud that their paints are healthier to use and are better for the fabric of your home.  After all these years their values still stand true because of their unique recipes using technologically advanced manufacturing and the right environmentally friendly ingredients to create the mellow colour palette that’s finished to the highest standard.

They have just launched a beautiful collection of modern country colours in partnership with Country Homes & Interiors magazine, known for their passion for the modern country home style.  The new palette features 12 new colours all designed to blend perfectly with all Earthborn’s existing colours which I think they do brilliantly.  Each colour has been created as a bold but liveable paint shade, dusky undertones soften even the brightest hues, to create a highly versatile range that fits beautifully into any modern country interior.  This colour palette makes a bold statement but they all have a softness to them that makes them very easy on the eye and coordinate with the sumptuous warm neutral shades from the original collection.  Whether used as a standalone shade or paired together to work in harmony with a classic shade these new colours will help create the perfect backdrop to your country modern home.

How could you resist colours with these wonderful names, Sponge Cake, Peaseblossom and Puddling and that’s just a few, the depth of colour within the collection is sublime and now I’m thinking of others rooms that may need a refresh too, if only I had a bigger house.
