Autumn Wardrobe Edit
Its that time of year when you finally say goodbye to your Summer dresses and embrace all things cocooning and comfortable to take you into the winter months. I love treating myself to a few new key pieces that will see me through the seasons until Summer arrives again.
I wouldn’t say I have my finger on the pulse of current Autumn/Winter 2020 trends, to be honest I can’t quite keep up with all that, neither could my bank balance. As a women of a certain age I know what I like, what makes me feel comfortable enough to face to world feeling good. I love dresses they are a staple of mine, worn with tights in the cooler months and cardigans on top or tops underneath to layer up.
I’m always drawn to denim in Autumn and my new addition is a fabulous dress that can be worn in different ways, with a belt or without, open as an overcoat or partially buttoned over trousers. Its so versatile and I’ll be wearing it rather a lot I just know it. It goes perfectly with chunky boots. I have invested in the best chunky boots around this season the Solovair Dora boots from my go to brand Toast. I’m loving the thick knit sock and boot look worn with skirts and dresses at the moment, not only does it look good it is so comfortable.
I’m on the hunt for a jumper to take me into Winter, I’m not normally one for wearing jumpers as I get too hot but I’m going to give it a go this year as I have some lovely silk skirts I enjoy wearing all year around and would look great layered up with a chunky knit. Plumo have such a fabulous collection this year, its going to take me a while to decide.
As I said earlier I love dresses and another favourite for this season is by East by East West, their Tate dress is a beauty and would compliment everyone’s wardrobe. Of course I am a Toast girl through and through, their clothes fit my shape perfectly the cut they styles are all so lovely and I can’t resist at least one new item for the season. I still have a one in one out policy to keep my wardrobe feeling fresh.
Here are a selection of Autumnal goodness that caught my eye this month.
