The Perfect Bedroom Lights by Lam Lighting

I’ve been on the look out for some new bedside lights for quite some time now and not quite finding the right fit.  I don’t like replacing just for the sake of it but on an aesthetic point of view I have wanted some wall lights to free up space on the bedside cabinets but also lights that are more ethical and sustainable than the high street can provide.

It has been quite a task, obviously there are ones that are far out of my price range, others that we have had to use hooks to wrap the cord around lovely but just a bit messy looking either side of the bed.  Then I noticed that the ever so wonderful Lam Lighting have recently launched a new collection including plug in wall lights.  Hooray was my initial reaction, a company I have worked with before, I own one of their Bronte pendants that hangs on my landing.   Our bedroom sockets are not either side of the bed so to find plug in wall lights was an absolute bonus.

These beautiful and simple lights enable you to have light where there is no existing supply to the wall, being able to just plug in to the nearest socket is a game changer.  The braided cable is adjustable to suit your space and look.  The Bergholt Cottage Plug-In Wall Light is a mix of contemporary and traditional design, the handcrafted porcelain back plate with an elegant swam neck arm holding the simple handcrafted shade.  You have a choice of brass or chrome for the arm and a selection of different coloured cable.  It’s a classic in the making and will never go out of fashion.

I am over the moon how they look in our space, it continues the calm feeling we have in our bedroom, the soft light is perfect for reading but isn’t a harsh light that over powers.   Using LED bulbs is a must to continue the ethical story.
