Timeless design and long lasting quality are definitely on the top of my list when it comes to adding something new to my wardrobe. I don’t buy a lot but a new piece every season replaces something old or unworn. The new TOAST Made to Order collection is definitely one worth looking at. Seasonal transition pieces designed to strengthen their environmental commitments taking a step further to ensuring that this collection is low impact and can be worn for many many years to come.

I am utterly in love with this Forte Ikat wrap dress, the colourful fabric is handwoven and hand dyed by master weavers in Southern India. It is going to be a staple go to for many years to come and makes you feel rather marvellous when wearing it.

I wholeheartedly agree in investing in your clothes, how about you?

I’ve been feeling a little under the weather this week, it’s the time of the year that I get a little run down and tired. So I’ve been trying to look after myself the best way I can, having my daily tea ritual helps too. Taking the time to make a pot of beautiful tea and to enjoy every sip without rushing around and leaving half cups here and there. This week I’ve been enjoying this new soothing loose leaf blend called mindful moments with no caffeine it has helped calm and relax my mind with is unique blend of rosehip, camomile, lemon verbena and lavender. It has been a tonic to help me recover and heal. What do you do to feel better?

...and just like that my baby is 16! It’s so hard to put into words how I feel about this one, she makes me so very proud and I love her to the stars and back. She’s my friend and we laugh till we cry, she’s everything that is good in the world and I’m so happy that I get to be her Mum. So today we are going to fill our face with cake have a glass or two of fizz and probably dance around the living room which is quite normal in this house.

So if stories has anything to go by you all love my freshly painted living room. Gone are the dark varnished skirting boards, very tired white painted woodwork and radiator. Hello all matching loveliness that has created a warmth but also bounces the light beautifully. I couldn’t be more happier, it makes me smile every time I walk in the room. Tomorrow it will be adorned in Birthday goodness as my gorgeous girl Ruby turns 16, yep can’t quite get my head around that one either!

One little bit of skirting board to go and I’m putting down the brushes. Then I’ll be wanting to choose another colour because they are all so delicious and find somewhere else to paint. I’ve been feeling a little under the weather this week, it’s the time of the year that I get a little run down and tired.
