Wallpaper is definitely making a come back and has been for a few years now, technology and design advancements have made decorating our homes far easier than it used to be and bringing with it an edge and boldness that we wouldn’t have embraced a few years ago.
MuralsWallpaper are a UK based firm with their finger firmly on the design pulse of crafting amazing murals and wallpapers that make even me, a wallpaper wallflower, want to have a go!
Their goal is to provide an unparalleled selection of murals, patterns and photo wallpapers to suit everyone from your 5yr old to your Gran. They pride themselves on the unique ability to interpret current trends, patterns and textures and share them before anyone else does. Murals Wallpaper are passionate about modern interior design and are wanting to challenge the conceptions of what wallpaper can do. They want to produce the best pioneering designs that will inspire your creativity and push the boundaries of wallpaper design.
All their collections are carefully curated, so that you always have the perfect number of options to choose from to achieve the current interior trends. Using digital print means that the colours are incredibly vibrant and offer a high definition finish. Digital print also means that anything is possible and they are continually creating innovative designs at the forefront of interior design. Their philosophy is that every wall is a blank canvas and no matter how big or small is full of opportunity.
Another credit to MuralsWallpaper is that they don’t hold rolls of paper in stock, everything is produced to order which is good for the environment as they have very little waste product. This also means that the murals and wallpapers are made to measure and unique to every customer; no two orders are the same. All the murals are created using British paper sourced from FSC regulated forests and the inks used are water based so environmentally friendly too.
I’ve had great fun playing about with some of their sample pieces. I selected a few that I knew were to my taste, the water colour and concrete designs plus the calming elements of a misty forest, all of which create a wonderfully simple modern rustic look that I am always drawn to. I haven’t been disappointed in their texture and quality, they also make great flatlay back drops for creating different images. I am now sorely tempted to adorn a wall in my spare room with something bold but which to choose as the collections are all wonderful. With new additions being coming all the time such as The Bauhaus Collection. The website is very easy to navigate, no need to trawl through all of the designs because there are handy categories that divide the collections up into sections that you may be interested in. When it comes to ordering the simplicity continues all you have to do is measure the space giving the full height and width and they do the rest!
So are you going to be brave and banish the wallpaper fear with me, how can you resist?
- With thanks to MuralsWallpaper for gifting the samples for purpose of this post
