Styling the Seasons ~ August

August has been so lovely I’ve been blessed to be in the South when the sun shone and now the sun seems to have followed us home.  I find the tone changes in August from the fresh greens and bright blues of the other summer months to a yellow hue bringing with it a hint of Autumn in these later days of the month.

My styling this month pays a nod to the changes in light with a hint of yellow tones in the fennel stem from my garden.

On display are some of my wonderful finds that I brought home with me from my time away in Sussex.  I was seduced by ceramics and linen in soft creams and off whites, bringing a more natural touch to my interiors at home.

I find the last few days of August very bitter sweet, I want to hang on to summer with all my might but know that the power to do so is out of my hands.  So let’s embrace September and all that the wonder that Autumn brings.

  1. This is so beautiful. I love the natural colours and all the different textures. The fennel stem just sets it all off perfectly. So glad you’ve had a wonderful summer, too xxx

    1. I don’t want the summer to end Katy I’m not one for season changes and I hate having to stop wearing my sandals for filled in shoes!!!

I’m so pleased you liked this post as it was a joy to do.
