My feet are not  going to touch the ground this weekend, I’ve started the jog already!   Owen and Hunter have been asked to take part in the Festival of Thrift which is a huge honour; to be part of such a large concern teaching us all about sustainable living.

We will be taking all our wares from crates, buckets, enamelware to linens and everything in between, quirky items for your home from a time gone by, reloved and wrapped with care by us.  Owen and Hunter are passionate about finding that certain item that can be cleaned, polished, and made new to spend the rest of it’s life being something it wasn’t originally made for you just need a little imagination to make your home unique.

A big benefit from the whole weekend would be to meet one of the founders of this fabulous event Wayne Hemmingway an influential soul that I’ve admired for many a year ever since my first Red or Dead purchase back in the 80’s oh my!!

This interview is a snippet of how the Festival of Thrift came about.

If you fancy a fab weekend filled with thought provoking art, interactive entertainment, free workshops, an array of tasty home made food, fabulous stalls selling up-cycled, recycled and second-hand goods, activities, crafting, music and tips and advice and so much more you will find us at Lingfield Point, Darlington Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September, entrance is totally free.

Owen and Hunter will be in the Village Green, come along and say hello!
