I first came across Plum & Ashby through being an avid reader of The English Home magazine. They instantly caught my eye with their paired back simple, clean unfussy images so off I went to peruse the website. It is so refreshing to find a site that flows, just beautiful products presented in a way that makes my heart sing. The nod to English Heritage and hand crafted items that have such a quality so you know that whatever you buy will be a life long friend.
Founder Vicky White has created the feel of a traditional British general store with five unique homeware areas. Spun & Woven, Cookshop, Leather Goods, 4–Legged Friends and Apothecary are filled with beautiful items that I just can’t resist. From hand thrown pottery from the Cotswolds, wool throws woven in Wales, hand knitted products made in Devon and not forgetting Bertie and his signature print. I have had the honour of being sent the Autumn/Winter 2013 lookbook to view and it is a joy, everyone needs a bit of Plum & Ashby in their home. I gave one of their vintage terrier printed tea towels as a house warming gift to dear friends who are opening a luxury B&B, they loved it so much they didn’t want to use it for it’s original purpose of drying dishes. Don’t delay go and treat yourself to some Plum & Ashby today.
